Clifton Farm Cottage is a wonderful place to come and relax, perfect for a long week end / midweek hideway out of season or a week's stay during the summer months. Escape the city crowds, park your car with ease and enjoy the freedom of self-catering, or bed and breakfast here at Clifton Farm.
Sleeping 4 people in comfort, it provides all the amenities required to make your stay relaxing and memorable. Whatever the weather, whatever your age, there's so much to see and do. And, come the end of the day, Clifton Farm Cottage is the perfect place to unwind.
Creatively transformed in 2005/06 from dereliction into a wonderful holiday cottage, it is light, spacious, inviting and warm with its gas powered log burner and electric central heating. Relax and enjoy the peace and tranquility against the backdrop of the Yorkshire Wolds unfolding from your door.
Stargaze at night, relax in the courtyard and absorb the peaceful atmosphere after a day's touring or some other strenuous activity. Maybe dine alfresco, perhaps even barbecue or stroll through the fields to the local pub. Watch the abundance of birds on the bird feeder or the animals in the field next to your courtyard, gaze out over acres of open farm land and relax!!
All linen and towels supplied, electricity and gas at no extra cost. We provide a Welcome Pack containing milk, butter, spread, farm eggs, home made bread and cake (a bottle of wine for a booking of 7 x nights or more). Toiletries, hair dryers and much more, all complimentary of course.
The tranquil sitting/dining room is equipped with double french doors again opening out onto the court yard, why not breakfast outdoors - after an early morning stroll through our wonderful countryside!
The cottage is situated on our family run working mixed farm, on the edge of the Yorkshire Wolds near Malton, within easy reach of the coast, the North York Moors and the historic city of York. Come and experience the fresh air and open views of North Yorkshire.
This sizeable cottage was once used as a miking parlour, when cows were milked by hand in stalls, and more recently, has been used to hand rear calves. The courtyard was once the fold yard where the cows used to patiently wait for their turn to be milked.
Each season is special at Clifton Farm, but you will find an amazing variation in the tariffs for different times of year. Choose carefully and you could get yourself a bargain! Weekly (Friday to Friday) rates are displayed on our website together with terms and everything you need to know about how to book.
As from October 2009, booking will be handled entirely by ourselves at Clifton Farm, with no agent's fees to worry about. We anticipate that this will lead to even better prices for you. We look forward to welcoming you in 2010!
We regret no pets can be accommodated. Thank you for understanding.
